In this podcast we explore how to we can reimagine economics in community to build abundant connection no cold transactions.

Sam studies economics as humanity's allocation of abundance, not scarcity. Rather than thinking of the earth system as the limiting constraint, he wants to study how communities and societies can practice collective self-limitation according to the world they want to inhabit now and in the future

Ecovillage Pathways:
Elder Panel Interview (Part 1)

There are so many golden nuggets of elder wisdom captured in this video.  This is an edited down version of a heartwarming, tear inducing, laughter filled Global Ecovillage Network elder panel interview.  Elders share tales from the past about building community, advice about creating a lifestyle around following your heart, and ways to plug into the international ecovillage movement.  We are thrilled to share with you this first part of a 2-part series on the wisdom of elders in community.

Part 1 of the interview features a discussion with Rob Wheeler (GEN United Nations Representative), Marti Mueller (Cofounder of Awakening Spirit), and Lois Arkin (Los Angeles Ecovillage). Robert Gilman (Founder of Bright Futures Now) ends Part 1 with a hilarious breathing exercise. Our annual gatherings are posted on our event page. Come heal and grow community with us (http://www.nextgenna.org/events.html) .

Privilege & Inequality in Ecovillages: A Global Perspective Towards a New Story | Webinar NextGEN

May 2019 Global Ecovillage Network monthly webinar was hosted by NextGEN. Ecovillages are integral to creating the beautiful world we know is possible. However, some of the same social patterns of inequality also appear within ecovillages. A global array of speakers will share how the inequality has impacted their communities, and we also invite you, the participants, to share your experience and insight. Together we will weave a new story of social equality.

Speakers: Gabriel Siqueira (Brazil), Thyago Nunes (Brazil), Thumbs Cassidy (USA), Nonty Sedibe-Sabic (South Africa), Nora Schramm (Germany), Crystal Bird Farmer (USA).
