Lodging at La Cité

June is a beautiful month in Great North Wood Region of NH, with warm days of sunshine and cool evenings. Most event attendees prefer to camp for a rare opportunity to leave behind modern distractions and connect with the great outdoors. Bathing and kitchen facilities are easily accessible indoors. Internet connection is available in most buildings. Campers will need to bring their own tent and bedding. Don’t forget to pack a flashlight to find your way around at night!

We have 2 small cedar wood cabins equipped with bunk beds, shared rooms max 4 per cabin, with beddings, but for a more comfortable stay during the event please bring your own sleeping bag. The two other cabins will be featuring mattress directly on the floor, but no bedding included, sleep max 3. Bathing and kitchen facilities are easily accessible indoors. Internet connection is available in the community buildings. Don’t forget to pack a flashlight to find your way around at night!

Our two Native American Tipis provide a passageway back through time that allows you to experience some of the aspects of this unique nomadic culture of the Great Plains. With a warm fire glowing in the middle of the tipi, dancing patterns emerge on the tipi wall and you will experience some of the inspirations of their extraordinarily beautiful and organic art forms. Please bring your own sleeping mat, sleeping bag and pillow. Bathing and kitchen facilities are easily accessible indoors. Sleep max 5 per tipi.  Don’t forget to pack a flashlight to find your way around at night! Internet connection is available in the community building.
*There's a dew almost every morning, please bring adequate foot wear.

Meals

Picture

Three delicious vegetarian meals will be served each day, Thursday dinner through Sunday lunch. We ask participants to help with cleaning up after each meal. Breakfast is self served around 8am, lunch at 1pm and dinner at 6pm. We can accommodate some dietary restrictions, just indicate your needs in the
registration form.

Our guest meals are prepared by people who care deeply about the planet and your health. Our cooks use organic vegetarian ingredients, many of which are grown right here in our gardens, orchards, nut trees, and greenhouse. Salads are commonly picked within an hour or two of serving.

Many non-vegetarian guests have told us they had no idea vegetarian fare could be so satisfying. We have indoor and outdoor seating, plus tables in the greenhouse, which can be toasty warm on the coldest days just from the sun. Everyone pitches in during cleanup, so our guests get a chance to meet and chat with our members and neighbors who participate in community meals.
