NextGENNA context and contribution

NextGEN is a youth initiative born out of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN). There are NextGEN groups in all 5 regions of GEN - including Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe. In North America we are activating a movement of young people who believe that ecovillages are a viable solution to our world's environmental and social crises.
By hosting educational events and reaching out to student groups, our Sustainability Educators share their extensive knowledge in all aspects of communal regenerative living. We teach whole-system sustainability, selecting only the most experienced and dedicated individuals to become Educators for NextGEN. We are a team of youth working for youth, igniting the power of the next generation, and inspiring the emergence of a new world.

Ecovillage Ambassadors serve as knowledgeable points of contact in intentional communities around the globe. This is a network of young people ecstatic about brining more youth to their ecovillages, through work exchanges, internships, and community experiences. Ambassadors also help to build an online presence for their respective communities, blasting stories of possibility and connecting to youth in the language of this generation.

We work to educate, connect, and inspire the next generation we all wish to see...
